Returns & Refunds Policy

General Terms

Bailey Instruments Ltd (“The Company”) supplies products (“Goods”) subject to the following terms. By placing an order, the customer (“Customer”) accepts these terms unless agreed otherwise in writing.

Prices & Delivery Charges

  • Prices shown exclude VAT, which is applied at the statutory rate.

  • Standard UK mainland delivery: £5.95 for orders under the free delivery threshold.

  • Deliveries outside UK mainland: charged at cost.

  • Equipment purchases and special delivery requests may be charged at cost (to be confirmed at point of order).

  • Courier deliveries may require a signature.

  • Next-day or timed deliveries can be arranged at an additional cost (subject to availability).

  • The Company reserves the right to adjust delivery charges without prior notice due to factors beyond its control.

Delivery & Risk

  • Risk passes to the Customer upon delivery.

  • The Company is not liable for non-delivery, short delivery, or damage unless notified within 7 working days of invoice date.

  • Damage in transit must be noted on delivery documentation at receipt.

Returns

  • Returns require prior agreement with The Company.

  • Account number, invoice/document number, product code, and batch/serial number (if applicable) must be provided.

  • Goods returned for reasons not attributable to The Company may incur a 15% handling charge (minimum).

  • Imperfect goods will be repaired, replaced, or credited at The Company’s discretion.

  • Custom-manufactured goods cannot be returned if supplied as ordered.

  • Goods must be returned within 21 days of the original order date, in reasonable condition, and sterilised with certification (where applicable).

  • The Company reserves the right to charge for sterilisation where not properly carried out.

  • The Company is not liable for damage or injury caused by misuse of instruments.

Cancellations

  • Non-stock or custom-manufactured orders cannot be cancelled once placed.

  • Any cancellation or amendment requires written agreement and may incur a 25% cancellation charge (minimum).

  • The Company reserves the right to terminate orders if the customer is in breach of these terms or unable to meet financial obligations.

Force Majeure

The Company is not liable for delays or failure caused by circumstances beyond its control, including war, civil unrest, natural disasters, industrial action, or supply chain interruptions.
