A Blacks File for Every Day of the Week
The humble Blacks file is a favoured tool amongst many of our clinical customers. It is regarded as a ‘must-have’ in the vast majority of clinics and domiciliary bags up & down the country.
The next time you have a Blacks file in your hand, take a closer look at the business end. The ridges that provide the file with the ability to clear nail sulci should be angled ‘backwards’, towards the handle.
This means the clinician can ‘cut’ only when gently pulling the file back out of the sulcus, proximal to distal.
Blacks' files are used in the sulci of nails and require dexterity and fine motor skills. Having a slim handle with grip enhances the clinician’s work.
